About the Course
Construction and civil engineering projects involve risks that must be addressed during planning and design. The client, designers, Bas-P and Bas-U have different but connected duties. Clear coordination reduces the risk of unsafe solutions or work activities being built into the project.
This course explains health and safety responsibilities and coordination under the Swedish Work Environment Act and AFS 2023:3. Participants work with risk management, the work environment plan, documentation and practical situations from both design and construction. A course certificate confirms completed training but does not replace the client’s assessment of whether a person has the education, competence and experience required for the project concerned.
This course covers
- The structure of Swedish work environment regulations and AFS 2023:3
- The client’s overall responsibility and the possibility of transferring certain duties
- The duties of Bas-P during planning and design
- The duties of Bas-U during construction
- The designers’ responsibility to prevent health and safety risks
- The content, availability and updating of the work environment plan
- Coordination between contractors and management of shared risks
- Control, documentation, follow-up and handover
